The Southwest Workers' Union (SWU) is celebrating 20 years as a membership-based organization uniting low-wage workers, community residents, families and youth in the struggle for environmental justice, worker rights and community empowerment.

The SWU 20th anniversary celebration will take place on December 5, 6, and 7th 2008 in San Antonio, Texas.

You and your organization are invited as special guests to our celebration. You have supported SWU in a significant way and we look forward to sharing this milestone with you. We hope you will join us and organizations form across the Nation in sharing our stories and visions of building a strong movement for social change.

SWU will be offering solidarity housing as well as providing the food for the weekend events. Solidarity housing will be with SWU staff, leaders and members. If you prefer a hotel, we will provide a list of recommended hotels but will not be able to cover the expense. SWU will also provide and coordinate transportation to and from the airport and during your stay in San Antonio. We look forward to your presence at our 20-year celebration!

Saturday, December 6 - Banquet & Dance

Sunday, December 7 - Going away lunch and travel day
