68th annual UN Civil Society Conference
The Department of Global Communications (former DPI) will hold its 68th annual UN Civil Society Conference between 26-28 August in Salt Lake city.
This year’s theme will be “Building Inclusive and Sustainable Cities and Communities”. It will also be linked to the Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit (23 September 2019).
The Conference will feature plenary sessions, interactive thematic sessions, NGO-sponsored workshops, exhibits, youth-led activities, networking opportunities and side-events.
Registration is now open for the 68th UN Civil Society Conference, under the theme of “Building Inclusive and Sustainable Cities and Communities”. The conference will take place from 26 to 28 August 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. This will be the first time that the conference will be held in the United States outside of UN Headquarters in New York.
The Conference explores ways and means for strengthening collaboration between local communities and global institutions. UN entities are encouraged to attend the conference and to submit Exhibit proposals.
The Conference will take place in the Salt Lake Convention Palace. DGC expects around 5.000 participants.
Participation is open to CSOs associated with the DGC and/or in consultative status with ECOSOC. CSOs not included in these groups can participate provided they are endorsed by a UN entity that is familiar with their work and can provide feedback on their eligibility.
