Video from livestream with Women's March Global on UNHRC Urgent DebateJun 29, 2020
Thank you to our partners at Women's March Global and the International Service for Human Rights for hosting and contributing to a livestream on the UNHRC Urgent Debate this month! The discussion featured panelists Salimah Hankins (USHRN) and Salma El Hosseiny (ISHR), moderated by Uma Mishra-Newbery (Women's March Global) and discussed the Urgent Debate held at the United Nations in mid-June on systemic racism and police brutality in the United States. Panelists shared the background of the Urgent Debate, the Africa Group call for accountability, and the urgent need for action from member states. Watch a short clip of the video on IGTV, here.
