CSW 63 Sign-up
The sixty-third session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 11 to 22 March 2019. Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world attended the session.

Themes of the Commission include:

1.) Priority theme: Social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls;

2.) Review theme: Review theme: Women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development (agreed conclusions of the sixtieth session).

There are several opportunities for accredited participants to address the Commission during the session by making a statement during the general discussion or by intervening from the floor during an interactive dialogue or expert panel.

The deadline to sign up via the CSW website is Monday 18th February.

There are currently 6 opportunities for NGOs to speak: 5 interactive dialogues/expert panels, and the general discussion (subject to time availability).  Interventions must be focused on the theme of the panel and not on any other issues. NGOs are invited to sign up for any meetings they would like to as there is no limit and can indicate their preference on the sign-up form: click here

Again, the sign up for NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC to express interest in delivering an oral statement during the general discussion is open online until 18 February 2019.
