Please join the US Human Rights Network's CERD TASKFORCE to learn about the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD). The United States signed on to this important treaty in 1994 and is subject to its obligations. We will discuss the affirmative obligations of the treaty (including its obligation that countries report on efforts to eliminate racial discrimination), how civil society has used these obligations to advocate for change within the United States and discuss how you can use its Early Warning/Urgent Procedures mechanism to raise awareness of ongoing racial discrimination.
